Kitchen Installation in Winstanley, Wigan

This recent project involved us working with our building business as there was structural work involved. The very small kitchen opened into a dining room, which ran into a living room.

We converted the kitchen dining room into one large kitchen, then we divided off the lounge into a totally separate room.

The house had suffered a flood several years ago, and the builders who renovated the kitchen were not the best. The electrical system was in very poor condition, so we installed a full re-wire. We also replaced the plumbing system and re-plastered the walls, before painting and re-decorating.

We installed a very stylish handmade fitted kitchen with cream slab style doors, set against a darker butchers block worktop. The kitchen has soft close drawers as standard and decorative glass splashbacks. We installed under-cupboard and plinth lighting, digital double oven, integrated microwave, integrated dishwasher, washing machine and a wine cooler.

We also built an attractive cupboard round the boiler, so that there is no interruption to the flow of the kitchen units.

For the appliances we installed a multi gang control panel. For turning on the spotlights, under-cupboard lights, plinth lights and outside lights we installed a 4 way switch system for easy control.

To the floor we laid granite tiles with an attractive sliver fleck and fixed new skirting boards throughout.

Conservatory Upgrade

Like many people, this customer found that their conservatory was underused as it was too cool in winter and too hot in summer.

We converted the conservatory into a very versatile room. This conservatory upgrade we have developed ourselves and customers love them:

• Studded the walls and insulated with 70mm Kingspan insulation
• Boarded and plastered the walls
• Cladded the outside walls with 300mm wide shiplay cladding
• To the floor we added 25mm Marine ply to make it level with house when we removed the French doors.
• Laid cream granite tiles throughout the new room and the kitchen
• Insulated and boarded the ceiling
• Installed spotlights in the ceiling, added skirting boards and a radiator and decorated

The customer is delighted as the family now have a comfortable extra room that they can use throughout all the seasons – and the cost is well below that of a new room extension.
