Air Conditioning Design, Installation and Maintenance
Cost effective and energy efficient air conditioning is becoming increasingly widespread. It creates a welcoming atmosphere for customers and guests while improving the working conditions and productivity of employees. Airfrost air conditioning clients include hospitals, hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and retail spaces, offices and public buildings.

We liaise with building designers and architects to incorporate air conditioning into new build projects and retro-fit new air conditioning systems into existing buildings.
With extensive experience in working with all air conditioning products we are also able to offer affordable and reliable servicing and maintenance contracts. All of our air conditioning engineers are F-Gas registered ensuring air conditioning systems are compliant with EU legislation on fluorinated gas emissions. We are also able to advise and assist on alternatives to the environmentally harmful R22 refrigerants which must be replaced by 2015.
Energy Efficient Innovation in Air Conditioning & Ventilation
There have been many remarkable breakthroughs in air conditioning and ventilation technology in recent years. Improved insulation and close temperature control systems reduce running costs and the adoption of heat exchange technology into ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems reduces both energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Depending upon the specific requirements of our customers, Airfrost usually install highly efficient VAM heat recovery units or VRV systems to air conditioning. Heat exchange systems are able to convert latent heat in outside air into usable energy, keeping costs low while maintaining temperature and humidity levels at the desired levels.
Cold Rooms and Targeted Air Conditioning
Airfrost are at the forefront in designing and installing cold rooms for hospitals, food processing and computer rooms.
In designing cold storage and food preparation areas, Airfrost systems take into account many factors. For example, vegetables are living organisms that continue to produce heat through respiration even after harvesting. Many foods are cooled over a 24 hour period and we need to include in our calculation the heat of respiration for the volume of vegetables going into the cold room. By investing in the right technology, food can be kept fresh for longer, reducing wastage while improving taste and texture.
For other Airfrost clients the results may be more specific again. Airfrost design cold stores for blood banks and organ storage as well as close control temperature systems for pharmaceutical firms and hospitals.
One particular area of expertise developed over the years has been in ventilation and cooling systems for computer rooms. Airfrost Ltd design cooling systems that circulate cool air directly though computer units, eliminating the higher running costs of individual fan units or the necessity to cool an entire room.
